← Boston T Party update Raffle and update → Second hip replacement Posted on Friday, July 20, 2012 by Tony Hip replacement Had my hip replacement done on 17th July. The operation went well and wasn’t as sick as the last time when I first came out but was sick the next day. They think it was a reaction to some medications. I also have blurred close up vision so has been hard to text and read. Have been able to walk to the bathroom and back on crutches for a shower and to go to the toilet. I am going home today if all goes well. Just need to conquer the steps. Specialist is signing a form today to say I will be fit for booking flights now for flying mid September -beginning October. Have also talked to OT about where to sit in the plane, what I need to take extra eg crutches and the do’s and don’ts with my new hips. Thank’s to the amazing fundraising team and to everybody who has supported my family and me. It is much appreciated. Still to come Weta items on eBay and Air NZ travel raffle.
